Forget watching reruns on the Discovery Channel and get out and discover the wonderful world of craft beer. Our line up for Toronto's 2nd Annual Beer Week includes seven daily beer taste challenges, two full blown tastings, a "talent" show, and a 24 hour beer festival over two days. If that isn't enough for you check out the Toronto Beer Week web site to see what else is happening in town. With around fifty venues on the list, sleep will be at a premium for beer lovers from September 16 to 24.

Friday September 16, 6:00 PM. Advance tickets are available, $18 tax inc.

"Everything you wanted to know about beer but were afraid to ask." A wide variety of beer styles will be covered in eight samples with guidance from C’est What publican George Milbrandt.

Three beer-soaked expert judges, Stephen Beaumont, Josh Rubin, and Cass Enright, put contestants through a cross between a spelling bee, Jeopardy, and Idol to pick Toronto's Biggest Beer Geek. More info online.

200 Years Of Beer In Toronto

Sunday September 18, 1:30 PM, Free.

A walk and talk with drinking stops led by Wayne Reeves, author, beer lover, and Chief Curator for the City of Toronto Museum Services. Departing from C'est What, stopping at Mill St. Brewpub, and ending at the Dominion on Queen. Included are Toronto's oldest and best-preserved 19th-century brewing sites, along with present-day brewers.
